Platelet Rich Plasma Skin Boosting Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma therapy, also known as PRP therapy, is a natural therapy harnessing the healing powers of cellular components within your body.

PRP is a highly sought after non-surgical procedure for skin rejuvenation and repair using the platelets and plasma drawn and separated from your blood to stimulate new cell growth and reverse the signs of ageing.

What happens during my treatment.

Your blood consists of four components; red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets.

At your treatment, our nurse practitioner will take a small amount of your blood. 

We then spin it through a centrifuge to separate your platelets and plasma.

Once separated, platelets and plasma appear as a yellow fluid, which we call liquid gold and holds the necessary components to rejuvenate your skin.

We then re-inject your plasma rich platelets into the treatment area with our micro-needling pen or a skin booster gun.

What to expect post-treatment?

The whole treatment takes around 1 hour, and in most cases, you can expect minimal social downtime where the skin may be slightly inflamed and red for a couple of days.  

However, because we’re using your blood, there is minimal risk of an allergic reaction.

When will you see the results of PRP therapy?

You will probably require between two to three treatments over a period of four to six weeks.

Increased collagen production can take up to three months to occur in the skin means over time, the skin will appear younger and fresher looking.
