Platelet-rich plasma therapy, also known as PRP therapy, is a natural therapy harnessing the healing powers of cellular components within your body.

PRP is a highly sought after non-surgical procedure for skin rejuvenation and repair using the platelets and plasma drawn and separated from your blood to stimulate new cell growth and reverse the signs of ageing.

For a few years, it has been successfully used in numerous skin care applications, including alopecia, scar revision, acne scars, stretch marks, skin rejuvenation and dermal augmentation and improved wound healing.

PRP therapy is a treatment that uses your blood platelets and plasma to stimulate new cell growth to improve your overall complexion, with a more even and smooth skin texture.

At the same time, the infusion of platelet-rich plasma will trigger the growth factors that produce new collagen and elastin to firm the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

PRP can also be used on thinning hair and hair restoration with great results.

What happens during my treatment.

Your blood consists of four components; red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets.

At your treatment, our nurse practitioner will take a small amount of your blood.

We then spin it through a centrifuge to separate your platelets and plasma.

Once separated, platelets and plasma appear as a yellow fluid, which we call liquid gold and holds the necessary components to rejuvenate your skin.

We then re-inject your plasma rich platelets into the treatment area with our micro-needling pen or a skin booster gun.

What to expect post-treatment?

The whole treatment takes around 1 hour, and in most cases, you can expect minimal social downtime where the skin may be slightly inflamed and red for a couple of days.

However, because we’re using your blood, there is minimal risk of an allergic reaction.

Regen Kits from Regen Lab, Switzerland.

Regen Kits are the world’s leading PRP system and developed by Regen Lab Switzerland, approved medical devices intended to prepare platelet-rich plasma with superior quality and efficiency. Regen Kits are a fully automated process, making it a simple and easy procedure.

When will you see the results of PRP therapy?

You will probably require between two to three treatments over a period of four to six weeks.

Typically, the first results are visible within two weeks after your treatment and full results around four months, as platelets stimulate the release of growth factors that assist in collagen regeneration.

Initially, you will notice an improvement in the firmness and elasticity of your skin.

Increased collagen production can take up to three months to occur in the skin means over time, the skin will appear younger and fresher looking.

Results will vary from one individual to the other and we recommend a series of three treatments providing you with long-lasting results for up to two years.
