ABOUT DERMABLADING OR DERMAPLANING EXFOLIATING SKIN TREATMENT
Dermablading ( also called Dermaplaning ) is a clinical treatment where a surgical blade is gently passed over the face to remove dead skin cells and soft vellus hair.
Post-treatment active products will be absorbed into the skin better and make-up will have a better finish.
Dermablading is ideal as a complementary treatment to chemical peels and LED Light Therapy.
The skin regains its radiance and luminosity, dehydration reduces, and the texture becomes smooth once again.
New cells are activated to improve the rate of turnover similar to that of young skin.
You’ll find improvement in the penetration of topical skin care will increase the results of your homecare routine.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT
A surgical blade is passed over the skin of the face removing the superficial dead skin cells of the stratum corneum (top layer of the epidermis) as well as shaving away the soft peach-fuzz known as vellus hair to reveal smooth translucent skin.
As these fine, downy hairs do not have a blood supply, they’ll grow back to their original state — no need to fear them becoming thicker or darker.
