If you are a new client, welcome!
Your appointment will start with a skin consultation. During your initial consultation, one of our dermal clinicians will discuss your skin concerns, describe our treatments and skin care products in detail, and create a customised treatment plan to suit your individual needs.

Upon booking your appointment, you will be required to pay a deposit from $80 to secure your spot.

Please be aware we require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us time to offer your time slot to another client.

Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your appointment without giving us a full 24 hours notice or fail to show up.

Your Results

Combining salicylic and lactic acid provides a two-fold result, for a smooth and refined texture followed by improved hydration, firmness and a brightening of the skin with even colour and tone.

For optimal results, we recommend a course on SAL-LAC Layered Peels.

Treatment FAQs

Before your SAL LAC Layered Peel, it’s essential to prepare your skin with active ingredients to maximise results and ensure safe and effective treatment for a minimum of 14 days before your treatment.

The use of daily sun protection with a broad-spectrum sunscreen is vital in preparing for your peel treatment and will enhance the results.

Depending on your skin concerns, we’ll advise other specific products, so you achieve optimal results.

You may feel a tingling or burning sensation during the application of the peel.

The skin may appear slightly pink and feel tight immediately following the peel treatment.

Broad-spectrum sun protection must be worn and reapplied following the treatment and direct sunlight must be avoided for 14 days after your treatment.

Mild to moderate shedding should be anticipated due to the nature of salicylic acid and the direct impact on the skin cells on the surface of your skin.

You may experience mild to moderate discomfort and your skin might be slightly pink for up to 3 days.

If swelling and discomfort persist past 72 hours, you must contact your clinician at Select Skin.

For the first 8 hours, do not apply additional other products on the skin.

You can expect skin shedding to commence from day 3 and last up to 7 days. Do not pick, scratch or rub shedding skin.

Apply your recommended moisturiser to reduce irritation and severe dryness, and shedding.

Avoid using makeup for a minimum of 8 hours after having a chemical peel unless your therapist provides mineral protection.

Typically you can resume your usual skincare regimen 3-5 days post-treatment or when all signs of inflammation have subsided or as advised by your dermal clinician.

If you’re concerned with premature ageing, sun damage, fine lines, dehydration, pigmentation, stubborn congestion, blackheads, rough and thickened skin conditions.

Fitzpatrick skin types 1-3, not recommended for Fitzpatrick skin types 4 -6.
