Marini Glycolic Resurfacing Peel
$220.00
Unit price perGentle resurfacing for smoother, brighter-looking skin
When your skin looks dull, feels rough or simply needs a refresh, the Marini Progressive Glycolic Resurface Peel provides effective surface exfoliation with minimal downtime.
This professional glycolic peel goes beyond the lighter exfoliation commonly included in a facial, while remaining the gentlest peel in Select Skin’s Marini SkinSolutions™ range.
It can be used as an introductory treatment to prepare the skin for a more advanced Marini Clinical Peel, or booked as a standalone boost or part of an ongoing skin maintenance program.
If you are a new client, welcome!
Your appointment will start with a skin consultation. During your initial consultation, one of our dermal clinicians will discuss your skin concerns, describe our treatments and skin care products in detail, and create a customised treatment plan to suit your individual needs.
Upon booking your appointment, you will be required to pay a deposit from $80 to secure your spot.
Please be aware we require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us time to offer your time slot to another client.
Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your appointment without giving us a full 24 hours notice or fail to show up.
How does the Marini Progressive Glycolic Resurface Peel work?
Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that helps loosen the bonds holding dull, compacted cells to the skin’s surface.
As these cells are released, the skin can feel smoother and look brighter, clearer and more even.
The peel is progressive, which means the level of exfoliation can be gradually adjusted according to your skin’s condition, tolerance and treatment goals.
This allows us to provide effective resurfacing without immediately progressing to the more intensive peeling and recovery associated with the Marini Clinical Peels.
Brighter, smoother and more refined-looking skin
What Results Can You Expect?
Following treatment, your skin may feel smoother and look fresher, brighter and more refined.
The Marini Progressive Glycolic Resurface Peel can also help:
- Refresh dull or lacklustre skin
- Brighten and even the appearance of skin tone
- Smooth rough or uneven skin texture
- Improve mild congestion
- Soften the appearance of early fine lines
- Maintain smoother, healthier-looking skin with regular treatments
It’s important to us that you achieve the best possible results from your peel and can be influenced by your skin’s current condition, barrier health and the skincare you use at home.
We’ll assess these factors and recommend the right treatment and homecare to support your skin before, during and after your peel.
A personalised approach to professional resurfacing
Is This Peel Right For Your Skin?
The peel can be booked as a standalone skin refresh, incorporated into an ongoing maintenance program or used as an introductory treatment before progressing to a more corrective Clinical Peel.
Every peel at Select Skin begins with an assessment of your skin’s condition, sensitivity, barrier health and treatment history, along with the skincare and active ingredients you’re currently using.
Where appropriate, we’ll use OBSERV Skin Analysis to identify underlying pigmentation, congestion, redness or sun damage and help us recommend the most suitable treatment.
For persistent acne or congestion, melasma, stubborn pigmentation, advanced sun damage or more significant textural concerns, we may recommend the Marini Clarify, Refine or Transform Clinical Peel instead.
A comfortable treatment with minimal downtime
During you Glycolic Resufacing Peel Treatment
The peel is applied in controlled layers and adjusted according to your skin’s condition and tolerance. You may feel mild tingling or warmth, but the treatment is generally comfortable.
Significant peeling or planned downtime isn’t generally expected. Temporary pinkness, dryness, tightness or light flaking may occur, but most clients can return to their usual activities immediately.
Simple steps to prepare, protect and support your skin
Before and After your Peel Treatment
Some active skincare may need to be paused before and after your peel. Please let us know about any prescription skincare or medication, recent skin treatments, sunburn, irritation or changes in your skin.
Following treatment, use gentle skincare and broad-spectrum sunscreen, and avoid picking or exfoliating any dry or flaking skin.
Your Select Skin dermal therapist will provide complete preparation and aftercare instructions based on your skin and treatment.
